The State Corrections Commission will tour Villa Solano in Roswell during its September meeting to decide facility type after purchasing the property. State Corrections Secretary Ed Mahr said the site tour is a key reason for choosing Roswell.
Roswell Independent School District students scored above the national norm on aptitude tests for the 1976 77 year across grades 2 through 11. Grade 5 rose above all norms, while grade 7 and 8 showed mixed results.
