Quake hits Santa Barbara area injuring about 50
An aftershock rattled Santa Barbara and five counties injuring about 50 people. The 5.1 magnitude quake centered near the Santa Barbara Canal caused shattered windows, flooded streets, cracked highways and a derailed train. Goleta endured most damage as residents sought minor injuries and two serious cases were reported.
