Plane Crash in Mescalero Reservation Near Ruidoso
Four aboard a single engine Cherokee crashed and exploded into a mountain side two miles inside the Mescalero Apache Reservation west of Ruidoso shortly after 9 30 am. Three bodies recovered and one survivor rushed to Hondo Valley General Hospital. An eyewitness said the injured man reported his wife and two children were aboard. FAA Roswell officials said the plane originated in Ruidoso en route to Tucson Arizona.
