Senate approves 90 day grazing reform moratorium
The U S Senate approved a 90 day moratorium on grazing reforms after Interior Secretary Bruce Babbitt planned to impose them administratively if Congress did not act by August 21. Senator Pete Domenici sought to delay the deadline to revisit his改 legislation but was told Babbitt would not extend it. Artesia to begin talks on transfer station bid
Artesia City Council agreed to start negotiations with Constructors Inc of Carlsbad the lowest bidder for the transfer station north of Artesia.
