Debby Storm Plows East Coast Bringing Flood Risk
Tropical Storm Debby drenched Florida Georgia and South Carolina before feeding a second storm that sparked severe thunderstorms across the Great Lakes and Northeast. New York City basement residents were warned to flee if needed as floods and power outages surged. New Jersey saw up to 6 inches of rain in four hours while Savannah Georgia faced record rainfall and a dam threat downstream. Charleston lifted a curfew after flooding and road closures as locals gradually returned to normal life.
