Consumers cut back on credit card use in June
June saw a 1.3 billion annualized drop in borrowing marking the 16th decline in 17 months as Americans pull back on credit card use. Auto loans rose while overall consumer credit fell 0.7 percent to an annual rate of 2.42 trillion dollars amid weak job growth and tight lending standards.
