Roswell Teen Killed in Bottomless Lakes Accident

A 15 year old Roswell girl Pamela Annette McCrary died after being ejected when a 1975 convertible car overturned at Bottomless Lakes State Park. Driver Susan I Stein 19 and passenger Jerri I Muse 17 sustained minor injuries. The crash occurred after the car swerved to avoid a post and rolled multiple times. Funeral services were planned for Ingram Funeral Home with burial in Portales Cemetery.

Carter to sign clean air and public works bills today

President Carter plans to sign a $10 billion public works bill including nine of 18 projects he initially sought to kill after reviewing 30.
