In Fort Worth the body of Tom Cooper was found shot in his bedroom. Justice of the Peace Emmett Moore led the inquest and ruled the death a gunshot murder by Mrs. Cooper. She is charged with murder and released on a $5,000 bond.
In Del Rio Taras McDonald a centist and basebit player fractured his arm in the eighth inning of a game against Eagle Pass yesterday. The accident occurred when McDonald made a wild throw. Also an ad notes fruits and wines for sale from DeBremond farm with table grapes jelly grapes Elberta peaches Bartlett pears priced per pound. An office notice adds 8th will be in Roswell from the fourth to fifteenth of each month.
Theodore Cuyler Thorpe of Binghamton New York died early this morning at 2 30 following an appendicitis operation performed Tuesday of last week He was prominent in business church and social life a member of Pratt Harris and Thorpe brokerage firm a ruling elder in West Presbyterian church a Mason and a Rotarian He leaves his wife Lee Thorpe and a daughter Phyllis burial is set for Floral Park cemetery Wednesday He was son of the late W W Thorpe D D of Binghamton and brother of Mrs Grace Thorpe Bear of this city.
Tomorrow evening the regular monthly Merchants meeting will be held at the East Grand Plains school house with East Grand Plains farmers as guests. Sixty five plates have been ordered for a 6 30 start and a fried chicken supper served by the East Grand Plains Coterie Club. Short talks will follow and discussion on common problems will close the program.

At Kemah Texas on August 8 thirty two campers fall ill after drinking impure milk. Only one elderly woman is reported in serious condition as authorities investigate the dairy source and safeguard ingested supplies.

Austin August 8 A concurrent resolution seeks a joint legislative investigation into alleged efforts in the mid-continent oil fields to force down oil prices and crowd out independent competition in violation of Texas anti trust laws. Consideration of the resolution was postponed until tomorrow.
