The Roswell Finance Committee endorses a firm to audit the chamber's finances after the executive director's resignation. Interim director Andrea Moore said Purcella's resignation was accepted the prior Monday and the board will search for a new leader while awaiting further action.
State public health orders will permit in-person visits at nursing homes and skilled care facilities starting next week in 20 counties. Chaves County is excluded for now. Officials reported statewide and county COVID-19 numbers, including two new deaths: a Bernalillo County woman in her 50s and a San Juan County man in his 40s.

A 35 year old Roswell man, Lidia Aragon, was arrested Tuesday on trafficking of methamphetamine and firearms charges. Court documents show two bags totaling 11.5 grams of meth and a Colt .45 single shot handgun. An officer with the Chaves County Metro Narcotics Task Force encountered Aragon walking in an alley near Bland and Grand Streets. The officer reportedly recognized him from prior interactions.
