Ninth female coach inducted into NM Hall of Honor
Lisa McMath, longtime Fort Sumner High School volleyball and track coach, was inducted into the New Mexico Activities Association Hall of Honor on June 29 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. She is the ninth woman selected and the third from FSHS, joining Mario Martinez and Rafael Roybal. McMath earned 16 state championships in 24 seasons and is the winningest coach in FSHS athletics, with NM Coach of the Year honors twice and National Coach of the Year finalist consideration.
