Wildlife West Music Festival comes to Edgewood this weekend
The seventh annual Wildlife West Music Festival unfolds August 7 to 9 at Wildlife West Nature Park Edgewood featuring John McCutcheon The Badly Bent Round the House and nine other bands on two stages. Sun fiddle contest at 3 p.m. Aug 9 with rules online. Tickets Friday 10 Saturday 19 Sunday 14 weekend 30 under 12 free.

Johnson of Roswell earned an appointment to the Coast Guard Academy class of 2013 after completing Marion Military Institute’s preparatory year. He served as drum major, joined Scabbard and Blade, Honor Guard, Phi Theta Kappa, and received the Physics Award. He began Swab Summer in New London on June 29.
