Discovery of Old Headstone in South Park Cemetery
A historian and Ruben Esquivel, South Park Cemetery superintendent, recently found a long hidden headstone. The discovery ties to John Poe and Sophie Alberding, early Texas and New Mexico figures, with links to Billy the Kid era and Sophie Poe’s manuscript later published as a book.
