Program fights Medicare abuse in New Mexico
The New Mexico State Agency on Aging received a three year grant to continue preventing Medicare abuse fraud and waste. The Seniors Saving Medicare program has recovered over 155000 for Medicare Medicaid and beneficiaries since 1999. The grant supports billing error resolution and law enforcement actions if fraud or abuse is suspected. The program uses 65 statewide volunteers editing care seniors about identifying billing errors and arranging speaker events.
