Ridge’s satin rabbit wins Best of Show at Chaves County Fair
Elyce Ridge 13 of Dexter wins Best of Show with a satin rabbit at the Chaves County Fair Monday night. She is the daughter of Jerry Ridge and Val Hays and member of the Dexter-Roswell Tip Top 4-H Club led by Marjie Rascon. After this win the rabbit will return home to Dexter to prepare for the Eastern New Mexico State Fair in Roswell.

Raymond Voz III, 12, of Roswell New Mexico wins Grand Champion Meat Pen Rabbits at the Chaves County Fair. A Gate Way Christian School student and Berrendo 4-H Club member, this is his first year in 4-H and his first year showing animals. His rabbits, two male and one female, were chosen for uniform size and color markings and may be sold at Friday night fair sale.

Peter Buck pleads innocent in air-rage case in Britain
R E M guitarist Peter Buck, 44, appeared at Isleworth Crown Court west of London on charges of assault threatening behavior drunkenness and criminal damage during a Seattle to London flight on April 21. He was released on bail and set to reappear November 12 with his wife Stephanie present. Buck helped promote Reveal and perform at a Mandela tribute concert in Trafalgar Square.
