Christina Onassis married Sergei Kauzov in a 10 minute civil ceremony at Moscow Central Palace of Marriages attended by 11 guests and Soviet photographers. They plan a Lake Baikal honeymoon and will live in a two room Moscow apartment after the wedding.
The Berrendo Water Users Association applies to Chaves County Planning and Zoning to extend its franchise for a $750,000 Phase II water project. The plan would extend from Six Mile Hill to Roswell city limits, with a main 8 inch line and 2 to 6 inch distribution lines, serving up to 720 homes and 220 current applicants. The group has bought water rights and city wells totaling funds and faces funding gaps while Phase I proceeds cover Roswell Industrial Air Center area and Montana Sunset avenues.
The Denny's owner Alexander Linterman defied a four pm Monday suspension by the Environmental Inspection Division over repeated food service violations including temperature lapses. Prosecutors filed charges in Magistrate Court under the Food Service Sanitation Act with possible penalties up to $100 petty misdemeanor or $500 in District Court. Linterman claims sensational accusations, noting a 94.7 percent rating and questioning the 30 minute temperature check of 12 units.
The Republican Party contracts Wright-McNeill and Associates of Columbus Georgia to win black votes for white candidates. Bill Brock says the expenditure is to overcome decades of noncommunication. Wright-McNeill will be paid 550000 by the RNC and RCCC for 1978 work.
