The Roswell High Senior Class was entertained by Rev. and Mrs. Van Valkenburg at 308 W 5th last night with red and white decorations. A hands only examination featured rare curios and world wonders including Columbus’s hand and a live baby seal loaned by Lieut Peary. Refreshments followed and a museum exhibit booklet was given to each guest.

Funeral Service for Miss Harriet Fawcett
Funeral services for Harriet Fawcett were held at her home on 809 North Lea Avenue with Dr P W Longfellow officiating. The body was later moved to Dilley parlors and will be shipped to Warsaw Wisconsin tomorrow morning. A brother and sister will accompany the body, while another brother and his wife remain in Roswell.

Mrs. James Douglass Dies After Saving Forty Years
Mrs. James Douglass died last night at eleven at her Greenfield home. The body was moved to Dilley undertaking rooms in Roswell for shipment and interment will be at Hebron, Inc. tomorrow. She leaves a husband three children and two sisters, all of Greenfield.

Big Frame House Burns Outside Water District
A two story frame house one mile west of Main on Second street owned by Nat Lendley of Kentucky and occupied by carpenter Bennett burned at 12 20 today from a defective kitchen flue, destroyed with most furniture, insured for 1590, fire dept unable to save it as the property lay outside the water district. A lime storage shed near the new academic hall at the Military Institute caught fire from slacking lime at 1030 last night but was saved by the night watchman and school officers without alarm or damage.

C. L. Wilson, proprietor of the Green Front saloon in Roswell, was tried before Justice Culdice on a charge of selling liquor to Bob Russell after Mrs. Russell warned him not to. The jury found him not guilty and discharged him. the defense contended he had neither sold whisky nor received such notice. Wilson had only recently taken over the Green Front.
