Dr John Preston Ray and Newton Lamar, accused of raising twenty dollar bills from ones, were moved to Socorro for trial. Bond set at 1000 each. Lamar held for hearing, Ray pled guilty earlier. Ray appeared calm, Lamar agitated as they were jailed and await proceedings.
Russia issues a high level warning to other nations to refrain from any interference or actions that could escalate the conflict. The warning underscores a demand for restraint and signals possible diplomatic or military consequences for violations.
Reports detail the Kinshin Maru sinking after a Russian torpedo strike near port with 73 captured soldiers. Survivors reached Gensan, some choosing death by suicide rather than surrender, while others were rescued by steamer.

Miners fear losing access as the reserve would cover the Black Range mining district. The petition has been sent to the interior secretary.
Mayors Cook of East St. Louis and Judd of Granite City said all danger from the high water is now passed. The Conlogue levee break flooded low lands south of East St. Louis, with all families in the inundated area having relocated.
A three story brick hotel in Lansing Michigan burned with four people dead including Jerome C Stile John Vallantia Ransom Dingman and James Ray. Several boarders and two firemen were slightly burned.

Mrs Morrow and her child returned home this morning after a trip south. The southbound train arrived at 1 30 this afternoon. J H Stinson of the Pecos Lines is in Roswell.
