Three Men Cleared Of Murder Charges Here

A Roswell father and his two sons Ben Lucero Anselmo and Clemente were cleared of murder charges in a morning hearing before Justice of the Peace R Perry Bean. The case involved the death of A 3c Daniel Louis Jarrett at Walker Air Force Base after gunfire linked to an incident at the Lu cero property along Sunset road. The defense motion cited justifiable homicide statutes and ten witnesses testified including medical evidence from Valley Mortuary.

Anderson Arrested for Parking Meter Robbery in Philadelphia

John E. Anderson Jr., 29, was arrested after depositing $195 in nickels at the Germantown branch of the Western Saving Fund Society and leaving 2000 nickels in his room. Police charged him with robbing parking meters.

Arrest Made in Slayings of Patricia Ruland and Dorothy Campbell

Police announce the arrest of 22 year old Thomas Joseph Higgins who admits beating and slaying Patricia Ruland and the earlier murder of Dorothy Campbell. Higgins also confessed to assaults on other women as authorities seized the hammer and the victim’s car. The arrests were disclosed by Chief of Detectives James B. Leggett as families mourned in Brooklyn.
