Federal cotton crop control becomes law today

Santa Fe April 21 AP The House approved HB21 train length limit bill by 32 to 15 as a revenue measure. Debate split over protests against the sales tax. Tax commissioner Beall outlined SB15 business tax distribution, five to state five to county six to schools four to municipalities. No final action on the business tax yet.

Macon Dirigible Lands on Route Through Texas to Pecos

The Navy airship Macon reached Pecos at 1 26 p m as it travels from the Pacific Coast to Miami for fleet maneuvers. It followed the Texas and Pacific Railroad from Van Horn at 12 33 p m and adjusted course east to avoid Guadalupe Pass and a dangerous mountain sector while flying about 60 mph over El Paso at 9 45 a m.

Three Held By Sting Arrested Near El Paso

Lieut Thompson and Staff Sergeant Jon F McBride will lead the records and equipment inspection Tuesday afternoon with personnel checks Tuesday night. They depart for Clovis today to conduct the armory inspection, with related visits to Carlsbad and Roswell in the following days.
