Lead poisoned bald eagle rescued on Taos River
On Easter Sunday March 27 river guide Meyer and Diane Smith rescued a flightless bald eagle near Taos Junction Bridge in the Taos Box. The New Mexico Wildlife Center treated the bird but lead fragments caused fatal damage despite surgery.
