Land's End mansion on Gold Coast to be razed for new homes
A 25 room estate on a 13 acre Sands Point site linked by lore to The Great Gatsby is being torn down to make way for five 10 million dollar custom homes. Demolition crews began over the weekend as taxes and maintenance costs drove the decision, with former owners and preservationists noting the loss of a once iconic Jazz Age landmark.
