Grassland blaze torches 4000 acres near Ramon
A Wednesday grass fire near Ramon north of Roswell scorched at least 4000 acres of Indian Ranch grass on Lloyd Wright's property. Three firefighters from Berrendo and Encino volunteer departments helped bring the blaze under control with about 100 people involved, including 30 ranchers and 70 firefighters.
