Garrett enters race for Chaves County treasurer post
Henry Garrett, a Democrat, announced his bid for Chaves County treasurer and will face Sam S. Sloan in the June 3 primary. Incumbent L. M. Hall is the Republican candidate. Garrett, 59, resident of Roswell 27 years, served 23 years in the U.S. Air Force and has worked in insurance and financial services with The Hartford.
