Gov. Jerry Apodaca follows a carbohydrate loading plan under Frank Shorter’s guidance as he trains for the Boston Marathon. He aims for about 3 hours 30 minutes, has altitude training at 7,000 feet, and will race with UNM ally Marty Valdez and two state police for security in the field of entrants.
