Avery Turner Dies Today in Amarillo Home
Aged 82 and longtime Santa Fe railroad employee Avery Turner died at his Amarillo home. Turner, who served 58 years with the line, held roles from rodman to vice president and general manager in the Pecos Valley division and was working as general agent in Amarillo at the time of his death. He is survived by his widow and siblings in Quincy Illinois.
