Aragon Sentenced to 90 to 99 Years for Jiminez Murder

Aragon received a 90 to 99 year term after pleading guilty to second degree murder in the stabbing death of Beatrice Jimenez. The incident occurred around 12:35 a.m. on March 21 at the Virginia and Bland area. Fred 43 handled the case before District Judge George T. Harris.

Two Youths Charged In Bullet Death Near Tucumcari

Two 17 year old youths face manslaughter charges in the April 2 death of 18 year old Charles Gonzales of Tucumcari during a target shooting trip. A preliminary hearing is set for April 24. Both are free on $2,000 bond.

A man who gave his name as Russell Green pleaded guilty to breaking and entering in a hearing before Justice R Perry Bean. bond set at 1000 dollars and he was bound over to the District Court. The incident involved taking two pieces of luggage a box of jewelry and a iron from 204 E Alameda St on April 5 per the justice of the peace department.

New Mexico Officers To Return Airman For Murder Trial

Gallup New Mexico officers depart for Oklahoma to extradite AWOL airman James W. Hutchins who confessed recent murder of Bruce Weibell, a Dallas trucker. District Attorney Bert Prince filed a general murder charge covering first and second degree murder and manslaughter. Autopsy showed three gunshot wounds to the head. The body was found under a bridge near Gallup. Hutchins told police in McAlester he killed Weibell after a threat. Sheriff Kelsey Presley offered a contrary theory that Weibell was slain as he slept.
