Dispatch from France and Washington confirms the surrender of Amapala Honduras. It notes President Bonilla’s safe passage abroad and Salvadorean commissioners to Amapala. A peace conference is to meet in Washington after the Amapala surrender to resolve Nicaragua and Honduras hostilities.
New York reports Frederick Matheson shot his nephew George Hoffman after an argument over leaving a window open. Mrs Hoffman and Arthur Goubelman were present as witnesses. Matheson, recovering from pneumonia, was arrested after the incident.
The All Fair Club presents a minstrel show at the Academy of Music in Roswell with a chorus of seventy five voices. End men include Charles M. Pierce and Dr Hap Simpson among others. Hoffman quartet and Au Fait double sextette perform. The show tours to N M for April 16 17 and 18 to entertain the Panhandle Cattle Growers Association.
Miss Lou Ella Hann will arrive tonight to visit during the convention and stay a month or two with her brother G Steever Hann and wife. Tom White returned last night from Texas.
A large batch of show cattle arrived today for the purebred sale planned next week. Five more consignments are en route to expand the lineup.
