The ladies of St. Andrews Guild hosted a reception at the home of Mr and Mrs John W Rhea on Sixth street and Pennsylvania avenue for the Roswell parish. A Norvell Orchestra program featured Miss Gertrude Wiggins, Miss Katheryn Bean, Mrs W S Kilgour, Miss Edna Littlefield and a luncheon of sandwiches and coffee. The event honored the new Episcopal Rector and was well attended.

Frank Neiderkorn aged 20 years and six months died Monday morning at eight at his father's home on Bland street South Hill from tuberculosis. Funeral was held at 8:30 this morning at the Roman Catholic church with Holy Mass and sermon. Interment followed at South Side cemetery. W R Ferris aged 57 died Tuesday afternoon at four at 215 N Pecos where he lived with his wife who came from Cincinnati earlier this year seeking treatment for consumption. The remains were moved to Dilley undertaking parlors and will be shipped tomorrow to his old home with the widow.

Canyon City players from across Texas vote to name Roswell the prettiest town seen. Manager Oscar I Smith says the team is treated royally and enjoys the stay as they tour nearby farming country with irrigation work praised.
