The Ozark, owned by Sherwin Williams, was reopened after 11 months of pumping and water clearance, now yielding about 225 tons of zinc ore daily and shipping concentrates to Coffeeville Kansas. The revival follows 15 years of inactivity, with $100 000 spent to recondition the mine and plans to tap richer ore below water level. Magdalena shifts from cattle town to mining center as Raskob interests expand operations.
