Eighth grader Susan Wheat tops Roswell city spelling bee
Susan Wheat of Sierra Middle School won the city spelling bee Friday night at the Educational Services Center to represent Roswell in the regional bee May 4 5 in El Paso. She correctly spelled aborigine to win over 20 top spellers with Lisa Kidd of Missouri Avenue Elementary as runner up. Rod Starkey of the Roswell Chamber of Development and Commerce hosted.
