A farmer using a four wheel drive jeep freed a cow trapped chest deep in mud on the Bert Pfingsten farm between Hondo and Lincoln along the Rio Bonito after a week of danger. Tom Mann of Roswell assisted, replacing horse teams with vehicle ingenuity.

Powell Case Ruling May Come Friday
