Beverly Aguilar a 13 year old eighth grade honor student from Roswell says she is sort of disappointed she will not attend New Mexico Military Institute next fall. The family moves to Denver in May and her parents chose safety for their daughter over the chance to become NMMI’s first woman cadet. The $200 scholarship goes to Kevin Hoffman the current NMMI student and the offer is made clear by Lt. Col. Lovelace and Acting President Cothrun.
