Roswell Independent School District will study vocational and other needs before deciding on a bond issue. Superintendent Roger Laginbill said the analysis should identify critical high priority areas, with schematic equipment plans and cost factors due in May and a recommendation by June. A citizen group led by Sid Coodloe prompted the review.

Robbins named NMMI commandant of cadets succeeding Blanchard

Mrs Bess Weathers at the Roswell Social Security office issues the last social security number to Krista Graves, eight year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Glen Graves. The Roswell office opened in June 1939 and on Monday nearly 34 years later the number issuing ended with future numbers to be computer issued at Baltimore.
