Fed trims anti inflation credit rules for card users

The Federal Reserve Board, in a 5 0 vote, requires lenders to give 30 days notice before tightening credit card terms and lets customers repay under existing terms only if they stop using cards. If users continue, changes are deemed accepted and apply to all balances. Rules retroactive to March 14 cover banks retailers and other open ended credit.

Carter Reagan win key Midwest states in 1980 primaries

Wisconsin and Kansas boosted Carter and Reagan toward nominations while Brown exited the race. Carter gained 71 delegates to surpass half the Democratic tally. Reagan collected 48 delegates, moving past one third of the GOP total. Final Kansas results show Carter 57 percent, Kennedy 39 percent. Brown 5 percent. Brown finished poorly in Wisconsin and left campaign.

Hellums seeks county position in Chaves County race

New Mexico Municipal League Holds Roswell District Meeting

City officials learned how to navigate government and taxpayer concerns at the New Mexico Municipal League district meeting in Roswell led by William F. Fulginiti and Sotero J. Sanchez Jr. The session covered eminent domain, Municipal Taxing Power occupation tax, and salary increases for elected officials.
