Behavioral health services for the indigent shift from Turquoise Health and Wellness to La Casa Family Health Center. La Casa expects a month to full operation at the Mescalero Road site with a Roswell drop-in program starting now and phone line redirection from Turquoise.

Ezzell pushes water fund bill as racehorse bill vetoed
New Mexico Rep Candy Spence Ezzell backs House Bill 578 authorizing NMFA loans or grants from the Water Project Fund for 127 projects with emergency status to aid small communities like Dexter Hagerman and Lake Arthur. The bill cleared House 64 to 0 and Senate 38 to 0 and awaits the governor’s signature. Ezzell also sponsored House Bill 379 expanding racehorse drug testing, but Gov. White Cloud Pipeline of Roswell led a 194 174 construction project in the Village of Hope to upgrade its water system. The work added a backup well with new plumbing valves and fittings a booster pump and well house and laid 200 feet of new pipe to tie the well into the existing tank. OCCAM Consulting Engineers oversaw design and construction management funded by State of New Mexico Colonial funds. The village plans future meter upgrades and a new water tank.
