Roswell Resident Flown After Pickup Struck by Wire

H. E. Woods of 209 East Lewis was taken to St. Marys Hospital after his car became hung on a guy wire near the Eastern New Mexico University Roswell campus. Police said charges are pending and authorities gave no word on his age or injury extent. Tornadoes ripped central Georgia causing fatalities in Athens and Monroe and widespread damage across Clayton County with downed trees and power lines.

The last group of American prisoners freed from Hanoi prisons heads home as Army Captain Robert T. White arrives to Clark at Operation Homecoming. 588 Americans have made the trip since February 12 with a crowd greeting the returning men.
