Hearing Screening Project In Pelly Trail Schools
During September 17 to 21 about 1300 students in the Pelly Trail School Division were screened for hearing problems. The Ostman Regional Hearing Center operates the program under the Westman Health Region with audiologist Jim Selinger in charge.

Hrytsak Memorial Project unveils conservation dam plans
The Hrytsak Project a cooperation among the late Mr John T sak Oakburn Manito and Ducks Unlimited Canada preserves a sixty eight acre marsh near Oakburn SE section 22 18 23 with four miles of shoreline. Ducks Unlimited installed a dam in 1973 to regulate water flow creating a better nesting area for waterfowl. Future work includes drainage control habitat restoration and heaped earth nesting islands with potential to flood twenty more acres. Biologists students sportsmen and others support the project.
