Rhinoceros Cornelius Flies First Class to San Diego Zoo
One year old Cornelius, the first black rhino born in Canada, traveled three thousand miles to his new home at the San Diego Zoo aboard an Air Canada all cargo flight. Granby Zoo officials built a special kennel and planned every detail to ensure safe arrival. After a month in quarantine he joined regular zoo life and remains a major tour attraction.
