Rossburn joins 170000 Canadians in Terry Fox Run to raise funds for cancer research. Eighty local participants finished the 10 km course in 45 minutes to two hours, with sponsors pledging over 1800 dollars to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Winnipeg police requested a Canada-wide warrant for Rudolph Alvin Kotelniski a 52 year old Angusville man on second degree murder charges after a high powered rifle fired through a door killed Wallace Warren 52 and critically wounded Gladys Barnard 50.
