Rural Council Routine Meeting of Rossburn Manitoba
The Rural Municipality of Rossburn council met September 12 in the council chambers with Reeve Alex Cleland and councillors Morley Brown William Hyra Mike Gawryluk and Joe Dnistranski present. They approved minutes and the August financial report and passed by law 910 for medical nursing unit renovation and expansion and by law 911 for renominations and elections. Taxes were added to the 1967 roll for three properties and bills totaling 8036.33 were approved for payment. The next meeting was set for October 10 1967 at 1 pm.

On August 25 Nick Drul and his wife were honored for their Golden Wedding with a church service at Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church in Menzie officiated by Rev Schwetz. A supper at Ukrainian National Home followed with prayers by Rev Schwetz and gifts from relatives, including a carpet.

Cairn Dedicated At Angusville
A cairn marking the original Angus homestead at the Angusville site was dedicated on Monday September 4 1967. 92 year old Elizabet h Ackroyd officiated with Jim Angus leading the tribute and Aunt Liz unveiling the memorial. The plaque notes the Angus family settled in 1882 and the town took its name from them. About eighty people attended including relatives from Winnipeg Portage la Prairie Brandon and Chater.
