Rossburn Rural Council September Meeting
The Rossburn Rural Municipality council met September 10 1963 in the council chambers with Reeve Alex Cleland and councillors Morley Brown William Hyra and Fred Posmituck present. They approved minutes and a financial report for August and set October 8 as Court of Revision. by law 876 on municipal nominations and elections was read and passed. The council also approved a bid by R M Johnston for grading project N 34 1925 E 3 and 10 Thru 2 20 25 Wist and authorized payment of last month’s bills totaling 8936 46. Adjournment to October 8 and 1 pm followed.

Federal loan approved for sewer project in Rossburn Manitoba
Ottawa announced a $39,000 federal loan to the Village of Rossburn to build a sewerage system with a stabilization pond. The 20 year loan at 5 percent supports 268 feet of ten inch trunk sewers, a sewage pumping station, 1 280 feet of six inch mains, and the stabilization pond, based on an estimated cost of 58 000. 25 percent of principal and interest may be forgiven for work completed by March 31 1965.

Vegetable and Flower Exhibits Judged at Waywayseecappo
On the last Friday of August the Waywayseecappo Reserve held vegetable and flower judging in the Community Hall. More than twenty-five dollars in prizes were donated by local businesses and individuals, with Bar bra Oudie topping the awards by capturing three firsts three seconds three thirds and a fourth.

The Administrative Committee of Rossburn Medical Nursing Unit held a regular September meeting with B Mitchell presiding. J G Stitt resigned effective after September, and W Perchaluk A McIntosh served as signatory officers. a $10,000 investment in Investors Trust Co. for five years was approved pending Manitoba Hospital Commission clearance. The financial report was approved and the meeting adjourned.
