Manitoba Hunter Safety Course Enrollment Declines Across North America

The Manitoba Natural Resources safety coordinator cites a decline in enrollment over five years with an average 2,800 graduates yearly, down from 4,000 a decade earlier. The eight to 12 hour course covers gun safety animal identification field dressing and ethics with more emphasis on hunter landowner relations. All 300 instructors are volunteers teaching in community locations.

Six Grandmothers from Saskatchewan walk from Saskatoon to Oka to support Mohawk Clan Mothers and Warriors.
