The Oakburn 4-H Weed Pullers held Achievement Day on September 2 with a decorated classroom. Mr and Mrs J G Stitt traveled about 4000 miles through Minnesota Wisconsin upper Peninsula to Painsdale Michigan visiting Viola’s relatives in Brockville Hudson Heights and Stittsville Ottawa Exhibition Thunder Bay Elbow Lake amethyst mine Ear Falls and a Fishing Tourist Lodge. They met old wartime friend in Montreal and renewed family ties along the Lakeshore drive and in Thurder Bay area.
