Former Rossburn resident aids in life saving sea rescue
Captain Mike Kostecki of Rossburn was among five Sea King crew members on HMCS Halifax during a rescue off western Africa. The helicopter helped save 16 of 22 fishermen after a 30 metre boat capsized near Dakar, Senegal. Six crew—including the captain—died. the survivors were evacuated to safety.
