Wedding of Sheila Sigesmund and Dr H M Paisner in Marlborough Blue Room
The marriage took place at 6 30 p m Aug 21 in the Marlborough hotel's Blue Room with Rabbi H Herson officiating. Music by Robert Satz and soloist Shify Wineberg accompanied the service. A dinner followed as Sheila, daughter of Mr and Mrs Henry A Sigesmund, wed Dr H M Paisner son of Mrs Paisner and the late M Paisner. They will live in Estevan Sask. The bride wore Chantilly lace over nylon net and satin with a lace bodice, long sleeves, and a matching veil. The bridal party included maid of honor Arline Mogul and attendants Mrs Sidney Katz, Mrs Harry Shultz, Miss Glory Golsof, and junior bridesmaid Naomi Komar. Best man Roy Paisner and ushers Allan and Morton Greenberg, Sidney Katz, Ralph Darbinsky, and Barney Mogul. A train of events concluded with a wedding trip to Wisconsin. The bride and groom are Manitoba University graduates.

Rain Delays Harvesting Across Week for Farmers
Persistent rain kept harvesting activities at a standstill for the past week with forecasts still unfavorable. Most crops are ready to swath yet weather remains unsuitable for cutting, swathing, or combining, allowing only minimal progress on Monday.
Hospital Aid Monthly Meeting and Tea Plans
The Hospital Aid held a meeting on August 27 and agreed to host a tea at Mr. Menzies showroom on September 8 serving sandwiches pie and tea. Mrs. O Menzies chairs the event and thanks are given to Mrs. Holmes and Mrs. W Stitt for mending. A white tea cloth left at the vanity fair hall was not claimed and is at the post office.
