Two inches of rain fell in Rossburn from Friday evening to Sunday night halting harvesting. No grain has been combined since August 26 as a one inch downpour on August 27 delayed drying. South of Rossburn rainfall reached 3 to 4 inches. Rivers area endured almost six inches. A CNR train due at Rossburn Monday night was over two hours late due to a washout near Clanwilliam.

Three Vehicles Damaged In Saturday Night Mishap
A 1931 Chevrolet truck driven by Spencer Taylor scraped a 1946 Chevrolet driven by Jim Stitt and then hit a 1950 Austin car driven by Paul Kurchaba of Winnipeg.
