Mothers Protest Over Junior Room Teacher Rehire
Ten mothers from the Junior Room handed a protest to the Vista School Trustees. Building History From 1898 to Legion Hall Move
Information from Mr. Gordon Taylor traces the building’s origin to 1898, erected by his father Wm. Taylor with Jas. Dewar, foundation and chimney by Wm. Collins, and interior plastering by Collins. It stood on the southwest corner of section 32 near Ben Cormack’s home, used as a school until 1907, then sold to Rossburn Orange Lodge and moved. The Orange Lodge sold it to the Legion on May 2, 1946.

Holmes Family Welcomes Weimaraner Pup at Home
Mr and Mrs Ken Holmes and son Craig return from Madge Lake with a nine week old Weimaraner pup. The dog, unique in Rosstown and one of about thirty in Canada, was bought in Saskatchewan. The breed is a German bird and fox hound, expected to weigh about 85 pounds as an adult.
