Brighter Future Walk Brings Waywayseecappo Community Together
Waywayseecappo residents joined the Walk for Community Wellness on Oct. 10 sponsored by the Brighter Future Initiative. The event aimed to address mental health, child development, and unemployment, with 70 participants walking from the Band Office to Food Mart ending with a drum ceremony and elders’ prayers.

Rossburn Village Council discusses Main Street resurfacing plan
Councillor Ken Caldwell reported at the regular Rossburn Village Council meeting that discussions with C and B Stirling Enterprises favor asphalt resurfacing on Main Street and Victoria Avenue East rather than seal coating. The repair could be delayed until Manitoba Highways includes resurfacing in a future project. Diane Gensorek is hired as Recreation Director starting Oct 15 and will also handle secretarial duties. Ron Kostesky becomes treasurer. Louis Kurchaba to attend Marquette Regional Health Board meeting on Oct 28 at Birtle.
