During Small Business Week Oct 24 29 the Rossburn Russell and Roblin communities highlight 24 local startups purchases and job gains totaling 45. The effort is led by Rossburn Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Board with Kathy Swann as Economic Development Officer.
Labor Minister Darren Praznik announced Jack McJannet QC of McJannet Rich as chair of the Minimum Wage Review Board to consult Manitobans and report recommendations before year end. The board includes three employee representatives and three employer representatives with input from workers and business owners. Manitoba's minimum wage stood at 5.00 per hour as of March 1, 1991.
