With final paperwork and land purchase this spring the Town of Rossburn announces a new subdivision adjacent to Manor Road and extending to Arena Road ready for home construction. A sign recently erected advertises the development.
The Rural Municipality of Rossburn defeated by law 10/99 to close a public road at SW 16-21-24W after a public hearing on October 12. Opponents included Alex Cleland and others. several letters opposed the measure. The by law would have registered Plan 2455 and authorized conveyance to the RM.
Town of Rossburn introduces strict garbage pickup changes effective November 1 with Monday collection for households, enclosed bags and 2.50 monthly fee starting January 1 2000, bans burning, expands recycling including an Eco Centre for used oil and containers, and notes rising costs shared with RM Rossburn.
